2. Nominative fair use policy
Under long-standing trademark doctrine (in the United States: New Kids on the Block v. News America Publishing; in Australia and the United Kingdom: analogous case law on descriptive and comparative use), a company may refer to another company's trademark for the limited purpose of identifying that company's product, provided:
- The product would be difficult to identify without using the mark.
- Only so much of the mark is used as is reasonably necessary to identify the product (e.g. word marks, not logos).
- The user does nothing that would suggest sponsorship or endorsement by the trademark owner.
SEM Optimiser's use of the trademarks listed above on comparison pages (/alternatives/*), migration guides (/migrate/*), and product FAQ answers is intended to satisfy each of these criteria. If you are the owner of a mark and believe a specific use on our site does not, contact us using the details in Section 5 below.
3. Logos and imagery
We do not use third-party company logos, brand imagery, or product screenshots in the primary content of comparison and migration pages. Where a third-party product is identified, we identify it by its word mark alone.
If a competitor's logo appears anywhere on the site (e.g. as part of an integration marketplace listing, an OAuth flow, or a customer case study where a mutual customer has granted permission), it is used in accordance with that company's published brand usage guidelines or under a specific written permission. Report any misuse to legal@semoptimiser.com.
4. Comparative claims – substantiation policy
Where SEM Optimiser makes a comparative claim about a competitor (pricing, feature availability, plan limits), the claim is based on the competitor's publicly-listed information at the time of writing. We record the date the comparison was compiled next to the comparison itself.
- Pricing comparisons cite the source page (e.g. "verified from semrush.com") and the date verified.
- Feature comparisons reference publicly-documented functionality – we do not represent private roadmaps.
- Comparisons are refreshed periodically. We do not commit to a specific refresh cadence.
- If a comparison is inaccurate at the time you read it, the fastest correction path is to email legal@semoptimiser.com with the source URL and correct value; we correct within 5 business days.
This site does not include comparative claims based on private data, non-public benchmarks, or third-party analyst reports we do not have the right to redistribute.
5. Trademark owner notice and takedown
If you are (or represent) the owner of a trademark referenced on this site and you believe a specific use is unauthorised, inaccurate, or falls outside nominative fair use, please contact:

We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and respond substantively within 5 business days. In most cases the appropriate remedy is a wording change or a link to this page; we prefer to resolve concerns without escalation.
6. Our marks
"SEM Optimiser" and the SEM Optimiser logo are trademarks of SEM Optimiser Pty Ltd. Journalists, partners, integrators and customers may refer to SEM Optimiser by name and use the SEM Optimiser word mark in the following ways without prior permission:
- Press coverage that accurately identifies SEM Optimiser as the product.
- Integration listings that identify SEM Optimiser as a connected service.
- Customer case studies and testimonials, provided quotes are accurate and attributions include the customer's name and company.
- Comparative reviews and independent commentary that identify SEM Optimiser accurately.
The following require prior written permission from legal@semoptimiser.com:
- Any use of the SEM Optimiser logo.
- Any use that could reasonably imply partnership, endorsement, or sponsorship where none exists.
- Any use as part of a domain name, product name, or company name.
- Any modified or stylised version of the SEM Optimiser word mark.
