How one-click fixes work end-to-end. Auth methods per platform and what we deploy.
For many issues, the audit report has a Fix button. Clicking it deploys the change directly to your site without you copying anything by hand. This page documents how that works for WordPress and Shopify (the two most common platforms; others use the generic SFTP/FTP/cPanel path).
Roughly 40 of the 200+ checks have one-click fixes. The most-used:
The SEMOptimiser WordPress plugin (installed from the WP plugin directory) is the recommended path:
For WP installs that can't reach the OAuth redirect (firewalled, multisite networks with restrictive policies), use WP Application Passwords:
Install the SEMOptimiser Shopify app from the Shopify App Store. OAuth + scopes (read_products, write_products, read_themes, write_themes) flow happens during install. After install, fixes deploy via the Shopify Admin GraphQL API.
Fixes that touch your theme files (canonical tags in the layout, viewport meta in head) edit the theme via the Asset API. We always create a duplicate theme first and apply the fix there; you preview and Publish manually.
For platforms without a dedicated plugin, set up a server connection (Settings → Server Connections) with credentials. Fixes are applied as file edits via the configured protocol. We always show a diff and require confirmation before deploying – there's no "auto-apply all fixes" toggle.
Every fix creates a Change History entry with the before/after content. On Management+, you can roll back any single fix with one click. See "Change History" in the dashboard.
For agencies: bulk apply the same fix across multiple connected sites in one operation. Audits → Issues → tick multiple sites → Apply fix.
